There are nearly 800 million people living in extreme poverty globally.
There are 2.3 million people living in extreme poverty in Northern Uganda and poverty rates have increased from 33.4% in 2016/2017 to 67.7% in 2019/2020. After decades of war, the region continues to struggle with reconstruction and resettlement and a mental health crisis compounds an already dire situation.
We believe the failure to address poverty at the family level leads to unsustainable results, which is likely why 2⁄3 of those leaving poverty in Uganda fall back in after a few years.
We partner with our Clients to ensure they make a permanent transition out of poverty.
